Robert G. McFetridge is a litigation lawyer specializing in family law; real estate law, latent defects and landlord-tenant law (Rental Board — Régie du logement).

His past experience working for the Ministry of the Attorney General in British Columbia as a Family Court Counsellor and as a Probation Officer gave good training in resolving personal conflicts and in arriving at practical solutions. One of his functions as a Family Court Counsellor was to give recommendations to the Court with respect to the custody of children in family cases. Also, his past experience as a real estate agent is an asset when dealing with real estate and latent defect cases.

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Victoria in 1971; his Bachelor of Common Law degree at McGill University in 1982 (LL.B) and his Bachelor of Civil Law degree at McGill University in 1983 (B.C.L). He is a member of the Quebec Bar since 1984. He is also a member of the Association des avocats et avocates en droit familial du Québec.
